| Lauren & I spent 3 wonderful
years in Louisville, KY and learned the ins and outs of living in the South.
After 2 years of being a northerner, Lauren hooked a job with the Greater
Chamber of Commerce as a special events coordinator and she got on the
inside. Having graduated from UK and with many good friends in KY, she
let me tag along for the ride. The week before we left, Lauren shot
the following black and whites of all our favorite restaurants, parks,
shops, and of course the famous Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby.
We wil always miss the wonderful friends we made, 3 different
homes/apartments, the old trees, Bardstown Road, Cherokee Park, the Jenkins,
Derby Pie, Maker's Mark and Knob Creek bourbon, and the tradition of
Kentucky that grows on you like a vine on an oak tree. GO CATS!
(Actually, I was a CARDs fan just to make things interesting at home) |
