MNHTC MEETING NOTES ARCHIVE - 12/20/2005

Brethren and Fellow Countrymen,

Meeting minutes for the 1st meeting of the Reading Chapter of MNHTC; December 20, 2005:

The meeting began approximately 6:45 pm EST at Brother Burkey’s (alias Yuk But) house.  Since the heating system died last week, we surrounded the raging fire to keep warm while we drank beer and ate pizza.  Angela Burkey (Brother Burkey’s lovely wife) was hoping for some fine jewelry for Christmas this year, but it looks like she will get a furnace with a bow on it.  The inside temperatures were slightly warmer than the 25°F outside.

After the feeding session, the meeting moved to the hot tub.  Class photos were taken as quickly as possible, as it was 25°F out with snow and ice on the ground.

We discussed our biographies that will be posted on the website.  Some of the items that were discussed in depth were: lacrosse, beer and movies.  A new fact that was learned this evening is that lacrosse balls have steel cores.  Brother Keeler (alias TBA) and Brother Bashore (alias also TBA) explained the different styles of beer to Brother Burkey, who is interested in learning more about beer.  There may be a beer tasting event at a future meeting.  The group also talked about the progress of the hunting season.  Brother Burkey has scared a few deer from his yard.  Brother Bashore has almost hit some deer with his car.  Brother Keeler saw some deer while trail running recently.  Needless to say, the hunting season is not too successful yet.

An informal holiday gift exchange also took place this evening.  Brother Burkey’s gifts were Burkey Construction T-shirts.  Brother Keeler’s gifts were the new compilation “El Ocho” from Round Wheel Records.  Brother Bashore was unable to bring a gift to this meeting, but promised that Brother Burkey and Brother Keeler be included in the profit sharing plan at Reading Electric.

The meeting adjourned at 8:48 pm EST.
